Shortly after the German reunification on July 1, 1990 the companies Pudenz GmbH, Duensen, and the Porzellanwerke Kloster Veilsdorf ( Tridelta GmbH ) founded the company ELSCHUKOM GmbH with a nominal capital of 500000,00 DM.
The young company offered jobs to most of the highly qualified personnel in miniature fuse manufacturing prior employed by the Porzellanwerke Kloster Veilsdorf. ELSCHUKOM took over the production of car fuses (torpedo type) from Pudenz GmbH and additionally served the former Comecon countries with specialty fuses, e.g. for telecommunication equipment.
The knowledge of fuse technology and micro wire manufacturing gathered in many years is the basis for a very special service ELSCHUKOM can offer: The data of the micro wire can be especially adapted to the production process of a customer under consideration of the final product specifications and requirements - may it be for fuses or other micro wire applications.
On April 20, 1995 three new shareholders took other the company in a joint management-buy-in/buy-out: Dr.-Ing. Karl Poerschke Dipl.-Ing. Johannes Teutsch Dipl.-Ing. Manfred Thauer
Since the takeover investments adding up to several million Euro were made - including the construction of a new manufacturing site. A state-of-the-art wire plating production as well as high precision wire drawing capabilities allow ELSCHUKOM to offer micro wire bare, tinned, flat and wound to customers in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
The transition to the next generation has been completed in the meantime. Dipl.-Ing. Johannes Teutsch resigned as manager and shareholder on Januar 31, 2006. On November 1, 2005 Ute Poerschke has joined the management team taking over the responsibilities of Johannes Teutsch and on May 31, 2007 has become shareholder of the company.
